About Me
Hi, I’m Amalia 👋
I was born in Greece, where the light on the water and the scent of summer gardens shaped the way I see the world before I ever picked up a brush. I started painting as a small child, alongside my father — those early afternoons together are still where my love of colour begins.
Ten years ago, I moved to Switzerland to study, and it became home. Since then I’ve worked my way through nearly every medium, searching for the one that felt most like my own voice — until I found watercolour, and everything else fell away.
I am a self-taught artist. My work moves between two languages: coastal landscapes that carry the memory of the Mediterranean, and botanical studies that slow down and notice what’s often overlooked. Both are, in their own way, an invitation back to childhood — to the small, unguarded moments that stay with us long after we’ve grown up.
Each piece is painted to be lived with, not just looked at: quiet, warm, and made to bring a little of that light home with you.
